Pictures for CD cover and also for the magazine advert

I will be editing appropriately, giving an olden day look to the photos trying out tea died effects and framing also playing with the surrealist idea i have had

Goodwin's Theory

Goodwin’s Theory is based on 8 main principles.
  1. Links between Lyrics and Visuals
  2.  Links between Music and Visuals (Complimentary, Contradicting or Amplification)
  3. Genre characteristics
  4. Intertextual reference
  5. Notions of Looking (objectification of women)
  6. Voyeurism (direct gaze, other people looking at artist, insight into artists life, screens and mirrors)
  7. Demands of the Record Label (representation of the artist)
  8. Performance based, Narrative based or Concept based music videos

Idea's:
I want to have a very surreal look to my Cd cover i took great intrest in the artist Salvidor Dali which was a major incentive to my piece and allowed me to devlope my ideas.

Editing

We have now been editing for a good month now, and I feel great progress coming on we have chosen a scrap book effect which has give a very different, authentic look to our video and allowed us to position our transitions perfectly to the beat. which is key when making a music video.

We had allot of worries on how we were going to end our video, after much deliberation we have decided to have a series or one photo that comes on the screen then fades to black. this works for our star image motif. which in pictures faded and old.

photos from filming

shooting schedual

Review of filming and how it went:
We were very lucky that the weather stayed nice over the two days we were filming even if we did have a slight problem with the camera equipment and made sure that we had at least double footage of the time of the song. we did feel rushed towards the end and there were a few mistakes about some shots for example our actress changed shoes and the when we filmed another section it looked very obvious so we decided to cut that out.

Artist's response email:

Our artist seems very open minded and happy to let me and my partner make a video, we will be ensuring that any other information that we need from the artist or artist needs from us will be used, and her feedback to any ideas we have will be very much valued.
