He was the first successful white rapper and showed that not only black people liked rap music and could rap. He spoke allot of truth in his lyrics and some gave a very political view and a very raw view, he not only spoke about political views but street life and girls etc. He showed that there was a market a niche market being missed buy the other rappers and filled it perfectly for me he has brought too ethnic audiences together and is

very clever in doing so. He had a niche audience because he as an artist that rapped about truth and hard subjects that were controversial which other artists avoided, this is why he had this very specific niche audience who really admired him and enjoyed his music.
His music reflects his life he has had so much controversy just a taste of his life, his own mother made a lawsuit against him after in one of his song “my mom” he said my mom smokes more dope than me”in one of his songs. This law suit was a massive amount of money it was 10 million. That’s his own mother imagine what he is getting off people who may to love him as much. This is where his message in his songs becomes harshly real for Eminem.
The difference about Eminem is that he showed more emotion and more heartache and passion than allot of rappers and also showed that white artist could rap successfully too. He was so different as he let him music publicise him instead of doing lots of promotional adverts he let his deep meaningful lyrics speak for themselves. This in turn shows that he was not after fame and glory this showed that he truly meant and wanted to be to hear his music and listen to the hard hitting subjects he overcame and experienced.
He also wrote his own songs with is sometimes rare to come by now as allot of artists sing any old song and put their name on the album Eminem in my eyes is a true artists, of cores I have no idea what happens behind closed manager’s doors. I believe that he worked closely with other artists but still kept his emotional lyrics written himself as they are so personal. He has worked with big names like Rhianna and Jay-Z, making fantastic songs that have made the charts.
Eminem is very successful he has made a huge amount of money from being a rapper which also shows that the niche audience he had grew and now has become a worldwide artists who is renouned for his music and being one of the most famous white rappers to be successful.
In his new album cover he has just backed up what I have said early, he’s not about bright attractive garish colours he gives a message and one that’s nice to listen to! He is walking away for the camera and seems very distant, a very open venerable picture he is walking in the middle of a highway out in America it looks very secluded and open. The trees are dead and are balancing out the rest of the image. This is simple yet very effective; the title is visible but not imposing on the image. In the word recovery he has a health cross in the “o” off recovery maybe symbolising pain and medical upset in his songs. He is a very subtle man in his marketing and album covers as his songs say enough about him.
Eminem led a very different life and a very intriguing one at that. Mothers don’t usually sue their sons even for saying that which is what I feel fuel this fantastically lyrical music and he made his music so emotional and personal, because of his happenings in his life.
BAND THAT HAS A NICHE MARKET SPICE GIRLS
Spice girls were the be all and end all to inspire all girl bands. They had a very specific target audience by cutting out half their audience already aiming their music to young girls and teenagers they had a niche target market compared to others this did change as they become more famous of cores. When spice girls split it left a big hole to be filled in most young girls music racks which led to people such as “The Saturdays” “Girls Aloud” and lots more girl bands being made as we speak. These all streamed from The Spice Girls and if I’m to be honest being a massive fan myself non of the modern day girl bands have quiet lived up to the massive phenomenon that I’m calling legends. They had such a specific market purely because they only targeted young to teen girls. Which cut their market small, but they still became famous and had a nice tidy sum out of this niche market to put it lightly. They did allot of promotional things such as tours adverts and lots of films I know this as I owned most of these as a young girl and they also did allot of gimmicky merchandise which sold very well.

There was sporty spice who appealed to the tom boy girls who did “wicked” tricks and was always dressed in a track suit and jumped around allot in music videos. Then we had baby spice that attracted girly girls that liked pink and dresses and big white and pink boots. The characters ensured that every girl out there was attracted to their band and there was someone for everyone in the band. All these different characters made the band so unique and charismatic and made the audience more attached to their modern day girl bands. It also made their audience get more personal with the girl band on a one to one level and get to like there character not only there music, girls had favourites and not only that but they had icons that they aspired to.
This is spice girls first ever album and I love it personally it’s not too load and it screams out unique and character it works so well especially as all the band members get their own colour font behind. Adding to me saying earlier about each and every one of them has a different character and different personality. It’s simple and white which I didn’t suspect it to be but it shows the concentration on the girls and their difference. The font is simple and effective and there name is easy to read and easily spotted on a CD shelves the “girls” is allot smaller and much more insignificant than the name title there catch phrase was spice up your life which is simple but very well thought out. When I think of spice I think of different unique flavours and each girl to me is a very different flavour and character.
The band made sure that they were known all over the world with the tour and filming all the performances they made a massive amount of money. There niche market had now not only spread all over Europe but the whole world and it was entrapping all young girls and making them extremely happy. There niche market was no more they made a massive name for themselves and to this date they may have split but I hear of renewing tours may be Chinese whispers but still excites me!
